MY SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS: MOONLIT SKINCARE
/Good morning, hunnies! Did everyone sleep well?
I’m here to tell y'all all about Moonlit Skincare! Specifically, their Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil.
Midnight Shift is an overnight facial oil that reduces wrinkles, replenishes hydration, and smooths uneven skin tone- all while you are ASLEEP!
You probably go to sleep every night feeling dull and tired, but when you wake up you’re energized and radiant. This is exactly what Midnight Shift does, but for your face! Midnight Shift is like the most comfy mattress and most relaxing rest your face could get.
And it's all very scientific!
Your Skin, 9 to 11 PM
We start to get tired around 9PM-11PM when our body's natural melatonin is kicking in, enhancing the feeling of tiredness. The lavender scent in Midnight Shift teams up with melatonin's sleepy effect, aiding tension relief and a decrease in heart rate.
Nighttime is when the skin's protective barrier weakens, so it is the best time to slather up with some great ingredients to really hydrate up. Jojoba coupled with sunflower oil delivers moisture and locks in hydration throughout the night, plumping up fine lines and wrinkles. Midnight Shift means your face will wake up on the right side of the bed.
Your Skin, 11 PM to 6 AM
From 11PM- 6AM, HGH (the Human Growth Hormone) accelerates skin repair and cell regeneration. The ginseng and papaya in Midnight Shift help fuel cell turnover and the creation of fresh skin cells, while grape seed oil delivers a collagen boost during this peak recovery time. I bet you had NO idea that your face was working so hard while you got your beauty sleep!
I have been loving my Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil (it smells divine, the bottle is so beautiful, and my husband has been sharing it with me.) My face and I have been having such a comfy sleep lately.
MY SWEETISH DREAMS
Since Moonlit Skincare is all about what goes on while you sleep, I’m going to interpret my dreams.
I am one of those folks that cannot remember my dreams after I wake up, so I made it a POINT to remember this week's wacky dreams. I woke up in the middle of the night and frantically scribbled down what I could remember from the dream I just had. This is NOT made up!
I used dreammoods.com to interpret my dreams because that's the first site that came up when I Googled, so it must be good!
MONDAY
My dream notes:
I stood outside and calmly watched a bad storm with Georgia Hardstark. Popcorn popped on all of the bushes. Her husband Vince was hiding.
I looked down at my phone and opened Instagram (cause even in my dreams, I’m addicted to my phone) and saw a bridal portrait of my friend Erin Whitehead (she isn't married IRL, but she looked great so I hit like!).
The Interpretation:
Popcorn: To eat or make popcorn in your dream suggests positive growth. You are full of ideas. Some important fact or truth is being made aware to you through the dream.
The Storm: To see a storm in your dream signifies some overwhelming struggle, shock, loss or catastrophe in your waking life. The storm also represents unexpressed fears or emotions, such as anger, rage, turmoil, etc. On a more positive note, the storm symbolizes your rising spirituality. It may signal rapid changes ahead for you.
To dream that you take cover in a storm foretells that whatever disturbance or problems is occurring in your life will quickly blow over.
My thoughts/reaction:
The appearance of Georgia, Vince, Erin Whitehead and the bridal pic I attribute to Instagram. I look at it right before I go to sleep, and things I see right before I close my eyes tend to always make cameos in my dreams. But why are these people the lucky ones who were implemented into my psyche? Your guess is as good as mine, honey! Also, Vince is the only one of us that is going to weather this storm, since he is the only person in the dream that actually ducked for cover. Good on you, Vince!
WEDNESDAY
My dream notes:
I was on a train in a foreign (European?) country with my husband. We were trying to get to a certain stop, but couldn't tell if we were on the right train. He kept talking to me, but I couldn't hear him. He would get more and more emphatic with his speech, but it didn't help. It was like I was deaf, but I could hear everything else but him! We kept looping around and around and never figured out our stop.
The Interpretation:
Train: To dream that you are on a train symbolizes your life's journey. It suggests that you are on the right track in life and headed in the right direction. Alternatively, the dream means that you have a tendency to worry needlessly over a situation that will work out in the end.
Deaf: If you are not deaf in real life and dream that you are deaf, then it suggests that you are feeling secluded from the world. You may be closing yourself off from new experiences or shutting yourself out. Alternatively, the dream could indicate that your defenses are up. There is something that you are refusing to hear. Perhaps you have problems taking criticism. The dream could just mean that you are in need of some peace and quiet.
My thoughts/reaction:
BRB, making a therapy appointment asap.
FRIDAY
My Dream Notes:
My mom and I are walking around Tokyo in floor-length fur coats (faux, obvi!). She was in a leopard one (which is extra interesting, ‘cause I lost her beautiful floor length leopard-print coat when I was in high school and I have major guilt about it). As we walked we kept running into people we know and they ALSO had on fur coats.
Mom and I ended up going into a vintage clothing store, where the man who worked there was very into my mom. I kept waiting for her to turn around and say, "Well you better buy me another leopard fur coat since you LOST mine." But she didn't.
The Interpretation:
Fur Coat: To see or wear a fur coat in your dream symbolizes prosperity and luxury. It also indicates your need for attention and your need to be admired.
Clothing Store: To dream that you are in a clothing store means that you are looking for a new image. You want to be perceived in a different way. Alternatively, dreaming that you are in a clothing store indicates that you are experiencing anxieties about fitting in or being suited for some position or role.
My thoughts/reaction:
I guess in addition to a therapist, I need to book an appointment with a STYLIST, honey. I also think all of these dreams could really just be about the guilt I have for losing my mom's coat that is clearly eating me alive. Guess what I am gonna get my mom for Christmas this year? A new coat, and a bottle of Midnight Shift obvi.
